Lottery sales of the original Scratch, Match & Win! scratch game began in August 1985 at none other than the Iowa State Fair. It cost $1 and had a top prize of $5,000. The new Scratch, Match & Win! scratch game, which began distribution at lottery retailers on June 3, costs $5 and has eight top prizes of $50,000.
